Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Hive Built.  Over the past 22 years, he has provided clients throughout Kansas City with exceptional solutions through Preconstruction and Construction services.  Having a passion for construction from a young age, working with his Dad’s company on various residential & commercial builds though high school, inspired him to pursue a degree in Construction Management from Pittsburg State University, graduating in 2004.  His career has provided opportunities in various size, complex project experience ranging from commercial office building & tenant improvements, new vertical builds, historical renovations, healthcare, pharmaceutical, mission critical, industrial, government entities at the city, state and federal levels, K-12 & higher education, and athletic venues.  Shawn is a results driven manager who is motivated to execute & deliver high quality projects, leading clients through a transparent experience focusing on their dreams, vision and goals, all while maintaining relationships with Developer, Design & Trade partners.

In Shawn’s free time, he enjoys spending his time with his wife and 2 kids.  With his family residing in Olathe, KS, you can find Shawn supporting his kids’ activities that include Aerial Silks, Vocal Performances, Soccer and Baseball.  His hobbies include hunting of upland birds, archery hunting for deer & turkey, and playing golf.  Sports have been a part of Shawn’s entire life, he enjoys supporting the Pitt State Gorillas, KC Royals, KC Chiefs and Sporting KC!
